This music, absolutely free, absolutely tensionless, flows into your
home as a wide slow river its crystal water sparks with spangles of reflected
rays of rising sun. This is a music of calm and peace, melodies of slow
awakening. You open your eyes and see, that morning light gradually displays
things in your room, and suddenly you can feel fragrance of lilac bush, which
silhouette weaves beyond the lightening window because of puff of delicate
wind. And you can hear quiet breath of your beloved lying near you, and it
is so pleasant to feel warmth of her body. At such moments of joy and bliss,
when night is gone, but day with its problems and worries is not here yet,
you can feel the very center of your being. You can go deep into its unknown
space and aware that you're a blissful and divine creature in this completely
non-serious world.
Yashu and Harida allow us to be in joy and peace and to understand suddenly,
that all the problems are vain, and there is no reason for trouble at all.
The title of the album comes from the Sanskrit word meaning the state of
calm and silence. Flutist Yashu, born in Spain, and percussionist Harida
from Chile are together for more than 25 years. Their career started with
performances of various Latin and avant-garde music. In 1978 they went to
India, where they practiced meditation they brought from India deep love
to Indian music. All these is reflected in their creative work, where East
and West are blended and united. It's interesting that the word " shanti" has become common for Yashu and Harida when one of them got rattled or upset,
they spoke " Shanti-Shanti" , meaning " don't worry" , " relax" , " feel your inner
center" . Those words became the title of the new project by Yashu and Harida,
which can be defined by right as an album-meditation. It was conceived when
the musicians performed at the courses of massage and healing. " Shanti-Shanti" is a perfect music for rest and relaxation, it is light and penetrated by
joy.
" Shanti-Shanti" is the fourth album recorded by Yashu and Harida in
Nazca Music. Their music makes life lighter, with that music it is easier
to be in an alter state, when love and sunshine are natural, when the words
are needless, when you don't have to pretend, to hide something from yourself
and others, when your whole husk falls down and only You remain… A cosmic
feeling… An infinite bliss...
