The album " Calling From Inside" contains four compositions, performed by Geert Verbeke on singing bowls. And, in general, these pieces can be named free-compositions: it is not possible to play a tune on the singing bowls, there are no cords performed in various keys. The sounds of the singing bowls, each of them is unique, made of a definite type of metal and has specific vibrations, being characteristic only for it, create an unique surrounding, in which one can calm mind and body. Every singing bowl has its own history. In the ancient time the singing bowls were cast in Himalayas by travelling smiths. The bowls of this region differs by the composition of metals, which they contain. It is impossible to teach one to play the singing bowls: a person, who would like to learn this, should first of all listen to the inner self. He needs to select the bowls, which will create vibrations, being suitable for him, being sonoric for his essence…

A few lines on the album booklet inform us that, by the moment of its issue, Geert Verbeke has created already several albums, in which he has improvised with the bowls from Himalayas, and also four books about the singing bowls. For me, his works became a real discovery and a large wonder. Sounds of the singing bowls are perfect not only for relaxation and meditation, but also for the work with energies.
