SOUNDS LIKE LOVE
Romantic Piano Favorites

When I have seen and heard this album for the first time, its name impressed
me of serious suspicious. I heard a lot of various "romantic collections",
and I feared that the CD Sounds Like Love would be a piano variant
of the works like Ricky King or RONDO VENEZIANO. Likely, the reviewed album
belongs to those rare albums, where contents is even better than the
cover.
Piano compositions of six most popular women musicians are included
in Sounds Like Love. And if women are performing, then the sounding
of album has some softness, and even a large delicacy.
In this collection are included both the works created by performs,
and working up of the most famous themes. I would like to specially distinguish
The Velocity Of Love performed by Suzanne Ciani, the star who brightly
shines on the piano sky. It is worth mentioning here, that the famous composition
by Elton John Can You Feel The Love Tonight (which could a little
bit boring, because it was so many played everywhere), was so interestingly
arranged by Mary Beth Carlson, that it sounds freshly and not trivially.
And performing of The Velocity Of Love can be named not only graceful,
but even gracious.
In the «Sounds Like Love» one can hear brilliant arrangements
of Evergreen by Barbara Streisand, Moon River by Henry Mancini
and many other famous themes. I'd like to add that besides named above Suzanne
Ciani and Mary Beth Carlson, in the collection are presented Lorie Line,
Sally Harmon, Robin Spielberg and Margie Adam.
The main advantage of Sounds Like Love is that this pleasant
music will be interesting to the broad range of listeners. Masterworks of
talented pianists can be admired both by unexperienced amateur and fastidious
professional.
