Do you remember plain, bright moments in your life? Strolling through the forest together with your father, romping about with coevals at a cottage verandah in a warm summer evening, the pleasure of intimacy with your beloved or your child's laughter? With his plain and joyful music Jerry Schubert just calls on to recollect the moments of your life when you felt fine. His music is like snapshot photographies taken in the splendiferous, pure moments.

" Life in The Moment" is a brilliant solo album of Jerry Schubert. In this album he stands both as a composer and a performer. And it must be said that the musician succeeded in everything. Jerry Schubert wins listeners over with fascinating arrangements, romantic melodies accompanied by rich orchestration. It is important to mention here the joviality and sincerity of his music. In addition, " Life in the Moment" compositions are performed with a real inspiration.

Jerry Schubert and a large group of musicians were working as one team on the " Life in the Moment" album. His orchestra consists of Tim May and Grant Geissman (guitar), Bob Zimmitti (drums/percussion), Tom Walsh (drums), Brian Kilgore (percussion), Sid Page (violin), Ken Wild (bass), Bill Lanphier (bass) and Gary Herbig (saxophone). Multifarious real instruments emphasize an impeccable line of a melodic piano pattern of Jerry Schubert very subtly. I would like to distinguish " Eye of the Storm" and " The Wedding" with its softly jingling bells although this distinguishing is very relative: there are no uninteresting compositions in the album.

Jerry Schubert works at the turn of pop-music, smooth jazz and new age. The musician says that when he sits down to the piano he just lets his fingers express freely what he feels at the moment. In Jerry Schubert's music the simplicity and the personality go well together. His album is a single whole, a living organism. " Life in the Moment" can be compared with a blossoming- out lilac plant giving its delicate aroma to a bright day in May.

When listening to Jerry Schubert's music one wants to celebrate life and realize that against all the odds the spring will come! It is sure to come…
