This album begins with a very violent and expressive melody which is
dipping you into the world of fantasy created by a Spanish composer Dom F.
Scab. This is the world of fancy created for great intentions and constructive
deeds. This music is incredibly sweeping, there is a quality of infinity
in it. An austere, pronounced melody is leading you through this whimsical
world of dreaming about the better time to come...
Dom F. Scab keeps on the best traditions of a famous Berlin school of
electronic music, imbuing it with his feelings and harmonies. This music
is very lively and rich. A sounding of the album is soft and at the same
time extremely austere. Clearly recognizing details, Dom F. Scab does not
lose melodism. One theme gives place to the other: the album is divided to
nine compositions " Fact I" - " IX" , and each of them can serve as a separate
soundtrack to a certain movie.
By now " Facta" is the third compositor's album which was recorded on
the Dutch label Groove Unlimited right after the projects " Binary Secrets" and " Analogical Confessions" and it is likely the most impressive album by
Dom F. Scab. His music bewitches with its vigour and force. The old Berlin
school and improbable novelty of emotions - all this is Dom F. Scab.
" Metal Bird Creation" and " Miracle of the Flight" compositions present
a very strong start, they create the spirit of the whole album. In captivating
and mystical " Message of Missing Birds" and " Knowledge Time" compositions
one can hear distinctly mysterious " weird" voices. " Rescue of Hope" composition
is full of inherent dramatic tension and implacable thirst for actions. " Dream
of Freedom" is a travelling to unexplored lands. " Invitation to Memory" is
like to bursts of emotions hidden inside, a culmination of emotional experience.
" Universe Mechanism" composition is a pause for deep thoughts, a short halt
on one's way. " Towards the Infinite" is a striking tail-piece, an aching
and inevitable farewell, a willful leaving for Obscurity. And everywhere
there is an extreme accuracy and unflagging artistry.
I can call Dom F. Scab a representative of a higher caste of electronic
romanticists. His " Facta" album represents a true nobleness of spirit.
The only dream within time limits is
To look into your own heart of hearts.
