This album is a solo effort of a person whom ached through a hard illness and the loss of her mother but who was able to rise above very strong emotional experiences and put her entire soul into the songs of her album “The Rose Tattoo”. It captures the listener by its sincerity and intensity of feelings.

Daniela Nardi is a stunning vocalist. Her singing can be compared with Annie Lennox to some extent, but Daniela Nardi has her own way of expressing hidden passion and the yearnings of the soul.

I could also point out the superb sound of the album “The Rose Tattoo”. It is not by accident because Juno Award winning producer Greg Kavanagh worked on this project.

It is very difficult to characterize Daniela Nardi’s style on the whole. She masterfully mixes modern nu jazz rhythms with rock, world and even electronic grooves. And one more assertion can be said confidently. “The Rose Tattoo” is listened to freshly because of Daniele Nardi’s unique singing. It is very real. The artist stands firmly on the ground.

I could descibe Daniela’s Nardi album “The Rose Tattoo” as modern music for the real world.
