I would like to congratulate all the New Age music fans: the new album
by Mars Lasar is released! Honestly, I was waiting for this CD with impatience,
thinking about what new will make this talented composer and performer? To
my pleasant surprise, all my expectations and suggestions were blown completely
by the music I heard. "Sapphire Dreams" is completely not alike to the previous
albums by Mars Lasar! In difference with his monumental "The Music of Olympic
National Park" or "The Eleventh Hour", the new album is very calm and peaceful,
and is played on various keyboards without additional support.
In his youth, Mars Lasar spent much time creating various sketches and
compositions. New melodies and harmonies appeared from his improvisations.
Much time passed, and Mars Lasar became famous musician. But recently he
decided to return to these sketches, made in his youth (though Mars Lasar
cannot be named elderly person), and he performed these pieces, as can be
said from the height of his years. The musician has suggested his listeners
the music, which was inspiring and supporting in his life. And behind this
music one can feel not only a perfect pianist, but the master which I can
place together with such "grandees" of the New Age as Vangelis, Yanni ???
Mike Rowland. With that, Lasar does not repeat any of them, he has his own
style, so one can recognize him at once, from the first cords. And here is
one little detail to the portrait of Mars Lasar: "Sapphire Dreams" is a very
elegant music.
Having listened to this album, you'll for sure discover for yourself
new Mars Lasar, which music is in the same time not less interesting to hear!
