MISSA JOHNOUCHI A magic flower of Asia, a blessed island which excites with its loquacious streams and shady cover of trees, a light midget ship rushing towards spumed waves of a transparent turquoise sea - this all is in the music of " Road to OASIS" . Missa Johnouchi and her partners from Li-Hua Ensemble the name of which is interpreted as " a beautiful flower" fasten their eyes on East and invite us to go on a long and thrilling travel along the Great Silk Way. This way harbors a great many of hazards. Sand dunes of deserts and rocky slopes of lonely mountains lost in borderless plains. Vagabonds with their motley clothes on who are hiding in narrow ravines and waiting for careless travelers to take their lives, and bales, and victuals. Wild beasts and hungry vultures flying around in the cloudless bluish grey sky. So many surprises that can be met with on the way. But as a reward for travellers there will be an oasis, a fairy place of repose and beatitude, which is lost somewhere, nearly at the world's end where ocean waters touch the edge of horizon tending to infinity… The music of " Road to OASIS" is imbued with harmony, between the notes one can feel a refinement and a subtle aroma of poetry, a calm and a serenity. It is a talk without words, it is a quietness in a sound, it is a sound not disturbing a silence… It is interesting that many of instruments, a Chinese zither among them, were brought to China from Persia by the Great Silk Way. An antique dulcimer called Santur is a direct ancestor and a congener of a Chinese zither known also as Yangqin. A Chinese flute is " the next of kin" to an Egyptian vertical reed pipe called " nay" , to an Arabian pipe as well as to a Balaban, an Armenian double reed instrument. Furthermore it is an ancestor of a Hichiriki - a Japanese court music instrument. So many cultures were united by the Great Silk Way, what a profound effect it had on the music of European and Asian countries! Four partners of Li-Hua Ensemble are charming women playing various traditional Asian instruments. Each of the partners is known for her lucky career in solo performances. A joint creative work of these outstanding personalities together with a number of the invited musicians has resulted in fascinating, romantic music of " Road to OASIS" . It fires your imagination and makes you indulge in fantasy and fly in your dreams to a place where sorrows are left behind, where you find felicity and creation, and nothing in the world can destroy your joint creative work..... A creative playing.... A divine variety and love.... And all this is far from being serious! Deep in heart everyone has an undercover sacred place. In cannot be influenced by any worldly miseries, it cannot be wounded by a destroyer. It is a place of sanctity and bliss. This is the Very Essence. This is the Real Self. Touch it lightly while listening the melody of " Road to OASIS" . Feel all its infinity. You will hardly come back the same as you were at the beginning of your trip. The great way through the sands, the way leading to oasis..... The way to the cradle....
