RUDIGER GLEISBERG
Damiana

Clear, as transparent as crystal, this music is enriched with the
Renaissance spirit. It enthralls you with the very first chords carrying
you back to somewhere in the past. And now you see men with their whimsical
taper shoes on and then women wearing high pointed bonnets and long, lacy
dresses reaching beneath their feet. You find yourself in some ancient township
where narrow and untidy streets are crowded and full of hue-and-cry, and
you hear an uncertain noise of a far-away market place. A cumbersome lumbering
carriage has rumbled along the road. A fair lady might be rushing in it to
meet her secret sweetheart. A maidservant is emptying a slop-pail clashing
it right against the rough cobblestone pavement. Right here a couple of knights
on horseback are unhurriedly passing by. Their armour is glittering in a
purple glow of sunset. A grey-haired old man with a heavy folio under his
arm is hurrying up to an intellectual public debate. And in all this bustle
there is harmony and expectations that very soon this chaotic world will
change for the better and the blossoming human mind will yield ripe fruit....
Very soon everything will change. All at once people realize that they are
in love, that they are loved in return and there are no reasons to feel unhappy.
There is no need to fight and to prove that you are right by dominating and
destroying others in severe battles. Soon everything will be different...
One can feel Love in this music. It gets through classical harmonies
and refined electronic passages of Rudiger Gleisberg. He splashes out his
love abundantly, giving it out selflessly. He never cares for the image he
has among his audience. He is just there and with you. This immediate and
invisible contact makes you feel relieved and happy. This heartiness, this
tenderness of feeling, this sense of inspiration, this romanticism forgotten
as not wanted … What a great lot, what emotional depth! This music possesses
unique features: it elevates Spirit, it nourishes you, it makes you feel
stronger.
It is not by chance a Rudiger Gleisberg album is called " Damiana" . This
shrub growing in Mexico and South America is well-known not merely for its
yellow and orange blossoms and an attractive aroma. The Damiana is a plant
of love. When used as tea or a tobacco substitute it whips up emotions and
stimulates brains.
Music of " Damiana" reflects Gleisberg's love for everything which is
around.
And everywhere you glance you will feel God
And everywhere around you feel the aroma of Love
Happiness to live
Happiness to love
Cannot be denied
Cannot be lost
This is what has always existed
For God is Love...
Such uncommon music... It is composed to do you good.
