BALLYCOTTON
This dreamlike folk fascinates from the first seconds. You easily find yourself in an ancient land which is not spoiled by modern civilization. You can see sincere people which are not accustomed to lies and pretending. And you feel joy to be in this realm and to see its enchanting beauty. You want to stay with these ordinary people who know how to be friends and really support each other. Suddenly you realize that you came home and you don’t want to leave it any more. The music from the Austrian band Ballycotton cannot be named as Irish folk because the artists blend many styles in their flashing performing. They speak a very simple and laconic language and at the same time their music is very diverse. And it has one more important feature. The music of the album “Jenseits vom Ende der Zeit” is very vivid. It can make you feel delight and like dancing. The artists build their own building which absorb better examples of various culture traditions. They put a part of each band member’s heart into their music. I am sure the music of album “Jenseits vom Ende der Zeit” will not leave you indifferent.
