Having rejected everything you were learnt
All life long a man lives being hurried up with his mind which is anxious to learn as more as possible, as more as possible to stand out against the minds similar to it. Such is the property of the human mind, it is constantly restless, it is always in some doubt, it always needs to vanquish at the expense of others. And this is the only case when the mind will be happy but not for long, it is in constant doubt, it needs mental pabulum again, it is covetous indeed. Once and again it is striving to take everything in and a man that follows the mind is always unhappy because the truth is constantly nearby but the mind cannot grasp it. It is always close to it, but it runs by, it rushes for mirages at the time when the truth is here, nearby. And it is only then when a man begins to feel his own heart, to follow it, the truth will be bared to him. Because the God is not outside, He is within and we ought to feel Him but first we should feel ourselves. And this is exactly the thing the mind constantly runs away. Paul Avgerinos’ album is called “Gnosis”, i.e. the knowledge. And at ancient times gnostics did not rely on holy scriptures. It was important for them to feel, to cognize the God with their own hearts. Paul Avgerinos’ music prompts to set rational reasoning aside and get plunged into your own individual world. And then you begin to sense that all of us are the children of the sole God, and we are united in this world, and it is a continuation of yours… Paul Avgerinos’ ambient music is penetrated with ethnic tunes. Eight exclusive musicians assisted him in recording of this album. I just call the names of such brilliant performers as Steve Gorn (flute), Ronin Khemani (tabla) and Kevin Braheny (EWI). Playing of all musicians is worth of the most complimentary comments. It is emotional and innermost. You just soar in harmonies of this music and feel how you suddenly begin to absorb this room, and you become larger and larger, and this land, and the planet itself is the only part of yourself. And you keep on expanding and become aware of your infinity. The “Gnosis” album is a brilliant specimen of ambient new age music. This is music of a heart which being splashed outwards join you with this world. And you begin to realize that outward things and you constitute to be an inseparable whole. And everything that happens in this world concerns yourself because the God is not somewhere outwards, He lives in this world, He lives within yourself. And you should reject to follow other’s wise advices and just feel yourself, sense the divine within yourself. And it turns out to be so easy. The only thing you need is just to listen to yourself…
